The Stud Book Continental of Dog Breeds was first published in 1882. It was the only “European Dog Stud Book” that ever existed.
It was published in Paris, France by Léon Crémière, the Director of the journal “Le Chenil“, the records were also published in this journal, but without the SBC registry numbers.
Volume I includes the winners of Dog Shows in the UK, in France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany from the years 1863 to 1881.
Volume II includes the winners of Dog Shows in the UK, in France, Belgium, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Germany from 1882.
Volume III includes the winners of Dog Shows in the UK, in France, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Germany in the years 1883 and 1884.
Volume IV includes the winners of Dog Shows in the UK, in France, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Germany in the years 1884 and 1885.
In 1885 the SBC was discontinued and superseded by the LOF.
